decisions, decisions

the many choices which daily appear before us have focused our attention more on the how than upon the why.

life is not convenient

June 14, 2007

being a disciple of christ ought not to be viewed as convenient. though it may be subjectively so, it most times (realistically, after all) is not. it is not ‘convenient’ to get up on sunday mornings to go to church, it is not ‘convenient’ to go to chapel every morning, it is not (once again) ‘convenient’ for God to subject himself to a surrogate government (corrupt and bloodthirsty) which he sustained so that he could follow rules of blood sacrifice (which he installed and yet also transcends) to save guilty rebels. life is unfair – and for no particular reason except God. christ forsook the conveniences of godhood - true life is seldom convenient.

dualism

June 13, 2007

there is no right without wrong, no good without bad, no positivity without negativity. without a negative aspect in life, there would be no positive aspect. and further, if there were no negativity, positivity would be reduced to an awefully inadequate corpse of existentiality.

plagiarism? i do not care too much whether i am plagiarized (i do, after all, desire to live beyond the grave in some fashion), i care more deeply about being misrepresented or misunderstood. while much of this blog (in fact, the vast majority) is my intellectual property, i do not care so much whether it is quoted without proper documentation. i would rather that than have all documentation and yet be torn from context.
